Accountant for Therapists
Bringing clarity and calm to the financial side of private practice.
As a therapist, you spend your days helping others navigate life’s challenges. But when it comes to running a practice, the financial side can often feel unclear or overwhelming.
That’s where Open Books comes in!
My goal is to make the accounting side of your practice feel
simpler, clearer, and far less stressful.
Hi, I’m LORIN HAMILTON
I’ve spent more than 15 years working in accounting and operations, helping businesses stay organized and financially healthy.
Along the way, I developed a passion for supporting therapists after seeing how often private practice owners are left to figure out the financial side of their business on their own.
Through organized books, thoughtful systems, and ongoing support, I help therapists feel confident about their finances so they can focus their energy on the work that matters most.
Outside of work, I enjoy working on crochet projects and spending time with my dog, Sadie. Like many therapists I work with, I believe life is about finding balance and making space for what matters most.
I’m on a Mission to
Help private practice owners feel confident and supported in their finances.
The financial side of private practice isn’t something most therapists were trained for.
Therapy practices operate differently from many other small businesses. Between insurance reimbursements, private pay clients, group practice structures, and evolving regulations, the financial side of running a practice comes with unique challenges.
By working exclusively with therapists, I’m able to provide accounting support that aligns with the realities of private practice, helping your finances feel clearer, more organized, and easier to manage.
Let’s Bring Clarity to Your Numbers
If you're ready for bookkeeping and accounting support designed specifically for therapists, I’d love to connect and learn more about your practice.
